About Supple Fitness
SuppleFitness was created by Sarah Gatford in 2008 and opened its own specialist studio in 2015 and offers the finest personalised service in a tasteful environment. We are located at Wrekin Professional Centre, Wellington and are staffed by highly trained teachers. We specialise in One to One sessions, Two to One sessions with the option to join intimate group classes with a maximum of 8 participants.
Supple Fitness has a distinctive approach to Pilates, drawing on Sarah’s passion for movement as a former ballet dancer, Pilates through studying the classical repertoire and the completion of a BSC (Hons) in Sports Science, together with other influences such as Yoga, Sports Massage Therapy and attaining an MA in Education focusing upon the importance of feedback when undertaking movement. As a qualified Sports Lecturer and Pilates tutor her teaching style is unique enabling you to get the most from your body and mind.
Sarah’s expertise as a professional Pilates practitioner are demonstrated as she works with a vast age range from 14-85+ both male and female. She is able to work with dancers and elite athletes whether recovering from injury or those seeking to gain an elusive edge for optimal performance. Clients with back problems and various musculoskeletal injuries have also been treated in a sensitive manner with positive results. The Supple Fitness Studio receives referrals from local Osteopaths, Physiotherapist and G.Ps. Previous Sports Massage clients include the Welsh Rugby Squad during the Six Nations, Commonwealth athletes, GB Triathletes, Military Personnel and the General Public.
There are many Pilates classes available in Shropshire however not all classes or trainers are the same. Sarah recognises through personal and professional experience the positive impact Pilates can have which requires a mental and physical approach with attention to detail and individual feedback.
